Vehicle vs. power pole accident sends three to hospital, one to jail

OTHELLO – A late night car vs. power pole accident on Thacker Rd. near Othello sent three to the hospital and at least one to jail on Tuesday night. Othello EMS was called to the scene at 9:23 p.m. The ambulance had to make several trips to Othello Community Hospital and back to the scene. The vehicle involved was a red sedan of unknown make and model. It ended up upside down near railroad tracks.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies could not provide any information at the scene regarding injuries, direction of travel or other details. ACSO posted on Facebook that 27-year-old Luis Jimenez-Faris of Othello was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Vehicular Assault. The make, model, and year of the vehicle were not released, nor were the names and ages of passengers. ACSO has not responded to requests for further comment about this incident.
