OTHELLO – A hit and run accident in the 800 block of S. Blue Bird Ln. near Othello led to a manhunt and eventual arrest on Friday evening.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the accident scene around 8:40 p.m. The complainant was able to provide information including the vehicle make, model, and license plate number.
Deputies located the vehicle in the 2500 block of State Route 26 and initiated a traffic stop, but the suspect fled and turned north onto the 600 block of S. Thacker Rd near Othello. An ACSO deputy used a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver to stop the suspect vehicle. 57-year-old 57-year-old Juan Garcia Galvan of Othello was arrested for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence and Failing to Obey Law Enforcement.
