OTHELLO – A haystack fire is burning just north of the intersection of W. Bench and Lemaster Rd. near Othello. The fire started Wednesday evening amid windy and dry weather. Adams County 911 advises that the fire may burn for “several” days .
A National Weather Service red flag warning for the region expired at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, but windy and dry conditions are expected to persist until the weekend. Cooler weather with the possibility of showers is in store for Saturday and Sunday.
