Huskies trounce Connell

CONNELL — Othello’s Huskies trounced Connell’s 1A Eagles 42-7 in non-league play on Friday night. The Huskies posted an impressive 344 yards on the ground, with Gavin Carl accounting for 310 of those yards in 16 carries. Carl ran for four touchdowns. According to assistant coach Kevin Hale, only two Huskie offensive drives were longer than four plays.

Offensive success wasn’t limited to their ground game, either. The Huskies threw for 131 yards with one passing touchdown.

Connell had 240 yards in the air, but two interceptions and one fumble limited their ability to capitalize. The Eagles posted 55 rushing yards with one touchdown.
