OTHELLO — A small fire burned approximately three acres about five miles west of Othello on Sunday afternoon. The fire, at 706 Ridgeview Loop, burned into steep terrain and was difficult to clean up because of wind, according to ACFD 5 Chief Tom Salsbury. A fault in nearby Avista powerlines is believed to have caused the fire. No structures were damaged.
