MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake police say they arrested a Moses Lake man for child molestation on July 31.

MPLD received a report on July 1 of a 15-year-old girl being molested while swimming near the Adler Fill. The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Jaime Mendez Madrigal. After investigating the report, undercover detectives contact Mendez Madrigal, who agreed to meet the victim at Neppel Park. When he arrived around 3 p.m. on July 31, detectives took him into custody.

Mendez Madrigal was booked into Grant County Jail on two counts of child molestation in the third degree. Detectives are also requesting an additional charge of Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes, according to a release from MLPD.
