GEORGE, Wash. — A 62-year-old Othello man is dead following a suspected DUI crash near George on Wednesday night. Dana Steiner was driving eastbound on Road 5 SW in Grant County when he failed to stop at the intersection with Beverly-Burke Rd. His 2009 Nissan Altima collided with a canal embankment.

Steiner was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt and deputies believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. The Grant County Coroner will conduct an autopsy. Steiner’s vehicle was the only one involved.
