MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake police say a young child was removed from a home following a fentanyl raid.

MLPD served a warrant on Wednesday at a home in the 1200 block of W. Gary St. An MPLD release said the warrant was granted after an investigation into fentanyl sales.

Officers discovered an 8-year-old child in the residence, as well as loose powdered fentanyl in several locations. Firearms and evidence of drug trafficking were also uncovered. The firearm was easily accessible to the child.

Paul Fear, 36, and Brittany Silva, 34, were booked into the Grant County Jail for possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a firearm, as well as endangerment charges for the child.

The child was placed in the care of child protective services. According to court documents, the child tested positive for fentanyl.
