MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A Moses Lake woman is under arrest for arson and reckless endangerment after a trailer fire.

Police say that 37-year-old Kristin Stepper admitted to setting the fire while she and her minor daughter were still inside. Both Stepper and the child had burned hair when officers arrived. A gas can and signs of an accelerant were also found.

Stepper was booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of Arson First Degree and Reckless Endangerment DV. The child was placed in protective custody.

Police believe the incident arose from a family dispute.
