MOSES LAKE – Detectives from Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) are investigating a drug manufacturing lab inside a home in the 15000 block of Road 9-Northwest, unincorporated Quincy.

The investigation began on April 21 when INET detectives and the Washington State Patrol SWAT team discovered and removed a meth lab, a Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) lab, and a psilocybin mushroom grow operation. Dimethyltryptamine is a powerful psychedelic drug. Detectives seized all of the items as evidence. It is a Schedule I controlled substance that has no known medicinal purpose.

In addition to the lab items, INET seized 29 guns found in buildings on the property. The search and investigation were delayed when a hand grenade and explosives were discovered. The hand grenade did not contain explosives, and the explosives were consumer-grade fireworks and explosive-making materials.

INET arrested 43-year-old Jason R. Besel on suspicion of manufacturing and distributing meth, manufacturing and distributing DMT, and manufacturing and distributing psilocybin mushrooms. Besel was released from Grant County Jail after posting a $100,000 bond.
