SPOKANE – The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Othello and the Columbia Basin starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. It is expected to expire at 9 p.m.
Forecasters expect winds gusting up to 30 mph in the region. Combined with high temperatures and relative humidity in the 11 to 19 percent range, conditions are right for fires.
