OTHELLO – A single vehicle accident claimed the life or a Royal City man on Saturday. The accident occurred about 5 miles east of Othello on W. Cunningham Rd near the intersection with Lemaster Rd.
According to a release by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Jesus Carlos Villa was driving westbound on Cunningham when his pickup truck appears to have left the roadway. ACSO believes that Villa over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle.
The truck rolled in the roadway and struck a utility pole on the south side of the highway, coming to rest in a wheat field. The Adams County Sheriff’s Department says the investigation is ongoing. It is not yet known if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
