Ballots for local primary elections due August 5

RITZVILLE – Ballots for local primary elections are due August 5 by 8 p.m. Ballots must be postmarked by then or deposited in a county elections drop box to be counted.

Elections included on the August 5 ballot include:

  • Town of Hatton Council Position 1
  • Town of Lind Mayor
  • Town of Lind Council Position 1, 2, & 3
  • Washtucna Park and Recreation 2 Special Election Proposition No. 1:
    • $0.78 per $1,000 levy for maintenance and operation of the Washtucna Pool in 2026.
  • Lind Park and Recreation 3 Special Election Proposition No. 1:
    • $0.19 per $1,000 levy for maintenance and operation of the Lind pool in 2026.
  • Ritzville Park and Recreation 4 Special Election Proposition No. 1:
    • $0.30 per $1,000 levy for maintenance and operation of the Ritzville Water Park in 2026
  • Lamont School District – 264 Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy.

The top two candidates for elected offices will advance to the general election in November.

Voters can register to vote in the August 5 election up to and including Tuesday, August 5. If you have not received a ballot in the mail, one can be printed for you at the county elections office.
