OTHELLO – A domestic violence incident led to a stabbing and arrest on July 29 near Othello.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies and Othello EMS were called to the 700 block of S. Thacker Road near Othello at approximately 7:23 p.m. According to an ACSO release, deputies found a woman with a stab wound. They determined that the wound was the result of a domestic violence incident between the victim and her partner, who had fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

The unnamed victim was transported to Othello Community Hospital, where she was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

With help from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Moses Lake Police Department, the suspect, 36-year-old Gilberto Valdovinos-Medina, was located hiding in a Moses Lake residence. He is facing charges of Assault in the First Degree (Domestic Violence), Felony Harassment (Domestic Violence), and Robbery in the First Degree (Domestic Violence).
