MATTAWA — Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with a homicide that happened in Mattawa’s Hundt Park on August 17.
The Mattawa police department requested assistance from Moses Lake Police Department. During their investigation, MLPD identified two subjects of interest. Investigators obtained a warrant and “On September 4, 2025, Moses Lake Police Detectives, with the assistance of the Moses Lake Tactical Response Team and the Mattawa Police Department, arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting,” according to a release by MLPD. Both suspects are from the Mattawa area.
Investigators note that this is an ongoing active investigation.
