CHELAN — The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office has announced potential discovery of human remains believed to be those of Travis Decker. According to a press release, the remains were located in a remote wooded area south of Leavenworth. The release said, “while positive identification has not yet been confirmed, preliminary findings suggest the remains belong to Travis Decker.”
The Sheriff’s office is currently processing the scene and awaiting DNA test results. Further details will be released as they become available.
Decker allegedly murdered his three young daughters at a campsite near Leavenworth earlier this year. An extensive manhunt has been underway ever since. Crime scene processing and DNA results confirmed that the only DNA connected to the murders belonged to Decker.
