OTHELLO — One man was injured in a motorcycle crash on State Route 24 just west of Sagehill Rd. on Thursday night. According to radio traffic, a motorist travelling east on SR-24 came across the motorcycle and rider, 67-year-old Michael D. Phelps, lying together in the middle of the highway. The rider did not know how he came to be in that situation.
Othello EMS initially called for Life Flight to be launched from Richland but cancelled the request upon arrival at the scene. The rider was transported to Othello Community Hospital with unknown injuries.
