ROYAL CITY — Grant County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to the scene of a collision at the intersection of Dodson Rd. and Road 13 SW near Royal City on Friday evening. A release from the GCSO says that a pickup truck was towing a gooseneck flatbed loaded with containers of grapes when it collided with a passenger vehicle.
The adult male driver of the passenger vehicle was airlifted to a regional hospital with critical injuries. GCSO has not identified him at this time. The driver of the pickup truck “denied injuries,” according to the release.
Dodson Rd. was open after the accident while Road 13 west of Dodson was closed for a period of time to clean grapes from the roadway. GCSO says they will update with more information on Saturday.
