MOSES LAKE — A person was found drowned in Moses Lake near the community boat launch on Dune Lake Road SE, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The woman, 82-year-old Lalitha Sanathanan of Moses Lake, was located in the water by a fisherman around noon on Friday, Sept. 26.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, but detectives suspect that Sanathanan fell from her pontoon boat, which was located on the shoreline nearby. Foul play is not suspected.
