OTHELLO – An alleged domestic violence incident in Othello resulted in a search for a man who had fled the scene with a one-year-old baby on May 10.
Othello Police Department officers responded to a reported assault in the 900 block of S. 10th Ave. around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. The male suspect in the assault, Isaac Fuentes Gomez of Othello, fled the residence with a one-year-old baby, according to OPD radio traffic. Police cordoned off an area of several city blocks while they searched for Fuentes on foot, by car, and with a drone.
The baby was located unharmed, and Fuentes was booked into the Benton County Jail on charges of assault/domestic violence. Fuentes was released on May 12 with no bail.
